The HOKA Ripoff
Ever considered buying your running shoes online?

Well, you can go ahead as long as you don’t buy HOKA shoes online.
I have discovered numerous scamming sites that act as HOKA distributors in various countries. HOKA supporters will obviously buy their running shoes online from these sites as you would expect HOKA protects their brand and that scammers won’t be able to fool their clients.
I have discovered the following domains, all registered by one scammer:
HOKA-SOUTHAFRICA.COM
HOKASOUTHAFRICA.COM
HOKA-MALAYSIA.COM
HOKA-MALAYSIA.COM
HOKA-MEXICO.COM
HOKA-SINGAPORE.COM
HOKA-INDIA.COM
HOKA-TURKEY.COM
HOKA-PORTUGAL.COM
HOKA-HUNGARY.COM
HOKA-ROMANIA.COM
The registrar for these is:
ALIBABA.COM SINGAPORE E-COMMERCE PRIVATE LIMITED
There might be many more domains that I am currently searching for.
It is a straightforward task to shut these sites down. After sending numerous emails to HOKA and their holding company, DECKERS, I have received no response except an apologetic email from their Facebook Support team.
Now I wonder why HOKA or DECKERS don’t protect their brand name or their customers? It seems that the easiest thing to do is to register a site like HOKA-INDIA.COM, create a website similar to HOKA.COM and start collecting online payments without shipping anything.
All major sports brands protect their names. I once knew somebody who registered dreamworkspromotions.com, but Steven Spielberg very quickly shut them down. Will you expect NIKE-INDIA.COM to be a scammer?
